Liapakis IE. “Redraping blepharoplasty with midface lift”. 2d International Meeting on Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, 01-03 September 2011, Kos, Greece
Unlike a standard facelift which primarily addresses sagging at the neck, the scarless face lift/midface-lift is beneficial for those who have early signs of facial aging at the cheek/below the eyes/the jaws.
The easiest approach will be in conjunction with blepharoplasty. The incision is totally invisible and is made along the lower eyelid; the underlying tissue is gently raised vertically and laterally.
Another method of performing a scarless face lift/midface-lift involves making a small incision at the temporal area and the lateral aspect of the lower eyelid (which cannot be seen). The face is re-positioned and both the sagging cheek (malar fat pad) and the SOOF (SubOrbicularisOculiFat) are lifted together with the muscles underneath.
The scarless face lift/midface lift can finally be done by high definition liposuction/laser lipo https://www.myplasticsurgery.gr/en/cosmetic-procedures-greece/body-cosmetic/liposuction/ and buccal fat excision. An incision is made at the top of the ear or inside the mouth to remove the extra fat and lift the cheek. One suture can be put along the ramus of the mandible to lift the "jawls", at the platysma of the neck or at the to malar fat pad to lift the entire face with no scars.
The incisions hardly can be seen even in bald men (men face lift/male face lift/scarless face lift) and the correction of the “hollow eyes” eyes/jaws/nasolabial folds is amazing.
The procedure can be done by general or regional anaesthesia/sedation and somebody can return to her/his daily activities 10-12 days after.
